Thinking about buying your first home in Alexandria? The City of Alexandria’s Housing Assistance Program may be able to help, but applicants must meet several eligibility requirements. 
Applicants must meet HUD income limits, qualify as a first-time homebuyer or under a HUD exception, purchase a home within Alexandria city limits and live in it as their primary residence. They must also qualify for a mortgage from a participating Certified Lender.
